I love Game of Thrones! I too have not read the the books, but I think the story line is great, and very original. Though it has very little to do with the show, I love the beginning credits!

Did anyone else just see that?...

I think the show is great. Epic in scope. Amazing cast. Fantastic, interesting narrative and plot.

If you haven't read the books, it's a little difficult to penetrate the story (as there is a lot of history and back-story that is omitted from the TV version), but that shouldn't influence your decision to watch.

Highly recommended. :horseyhorse:

It's like a sport for me waiting for the credits on brand new HBO/Showtime shows - this one reminds me quite a bit of Rome, love the imagery.

I wish they'd spend more time on Daenerys' character for 2 reasons:
1. Jason.
2. Momoa.
sweet lord.

my fear here is that it will go the way of the other shows that never saw their full run - too expensive. :(

No cancellation in site. HBO has already ordered a 2nd season. They seem behind it 100%. Especially since the numbers went up after the 3rd episode... But, I've never been that good at predicting a show's cancellation.

I have a friend who is a writer on it. I'll try to pump more info when I can.
