Hi folks.

Australian TV tends to be a bit lacking in quality, or we're 6-12 months behind the US. We also have a habbit of putting shows on late at night in floating timeslots -ie after a movie - so with a variable start time. As a result I tend to search out great programs from overseas and, uh, acquire them through other means ;)

So here's a list of some shows I think are great and watch regularly. If you can suggest some more for me to track down, I'd appreciate it

Deadwood
Carnivale
True Blood
Breaking Bad
30 Rock
Bored to Death
Hung
Dollhouse
The Sopranos
The Wire
The Fixer (UK)
Being Human (UK)

I just finished watching the latest season of 24 a few days ago. It was better than the previous season in my opinion...

House is also good :D

and How I Met Your Mother!

Most of the shows I watch have been mentioned, except Big Bang Theory I love that show.

one of our favorite shows was Pushing Daisies; I always thought it was such an original show (sadly cancelled now but avaialble on dvd)
Also if you're into documentaries, there's a new Ken Burns series on our National parks that's pretty amazing

along with all the great listed shows Boston Legal and this season I got hooked on The Good Wife...

I'm still sad they canceled Pushing Daisies, the sets, costumes, story line colors of the show were fantastic... but thanks to Netflix I get to catch up on tons of shows :)

shouldn't admit but friends got me hooked on Heroes and Friday Night Lights
