I miss my favorite Crème Brûlée. You might think I'm crazy but you haven't had a good Crème Brûlée until you've tasted it without the little round or oval white ramekin. WHAAAAAAAAAAT no ramekin you ask! Yes its true, once there was a Crème Brûlée without the ramekin.
OK, this is how it works...instead of pouring the Crème Brûlée into a ramekin, you pour it into pie crust shaped like a slice of pie

don't laugh here is my idea of what the pie crust should look like

Ok now you can laugh!

after that caramelize the top and drizzle a raspberry sauce.

The Crème Brûlée was so smooth it tasted whipped and the pie crust gave it an extra kick. I can't find any restaurant that doesn't use a ramekin.

Who needs to find someone else to do it, you've already got it mapped out! Go for it!

I'm a ramekin fan though, I have to say. I like my Creme Brulee just the way it comes - slightly bitter, crunchy on top, super-smooth inside with a slightly sweet taste and a fatty mouthfeel.

Pair that with a good cup of coffee and hot damn, that's amazing.

Incidentally, I'd love to have that for breakfast every day. Shut up, arteries, it's a GREAT idea!

I made a Toblerone Creme Brulee the other night. It wasn't half bad, if I do say so myself

I'm a tiger for a Reeses PBC though

Oh, I love creme brulee! However, mine never turn out that well. I still make them from time to time anyway cause I like using the tiny flamethrower to carmelize the tops! That part is always yummy.

I don't make many desserts- my husband has Celiac...bummer. This means that it's much easier to buy gluten free mixes rather than purchasing all of the crazy ingredients that are required to properly bake gluten free items. However, I still make little chocolate coconut macaroons from time to time. We buy tons of ice cream, too...though my favorite flavor, bubble gum, is damn impossible to find at grocery stores around here.

I can always fit in a slice of homemade pumpkin pie, it's one of my favourite desserts.
