Already fully funded but here's one I'll be contributing to (yes, I am a big enough pinball geek that I watch internet broadcasts of pinball tournaments!)

INSANE that it's already raised more than a million dollars in one day. Proof you should do something about a problem rather than just complain about it.

I wonder how many people seeking funding have used that word LOL

I'll admit I'd be interested in seeing a tournament, didn't know they broadcast them and that place is insane!

this thread may have been a very bad idea if all the projects are going to make me want to contribute.

Tell me about it. I love the books especially, and there is a kickstarter app! Very bad.

I tend to agree with this commentary about Braff's project: http://kenlevine.blogspot.com/2013/05/i ... -dime.html

I admire that Braff is trying to preserve his vision, but it's going to be compromised anyway when he tries to sell it to a distributor. And this Kickstarter project is going to spawn more stars doing the same. Giving film studios the idea that consumers are willing to pay $10-$14 for a movie ticket AND pay for the backend costs as well - all just for a t-shirt or some other novelty knick knack - will not end well.

http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/shawnimal/resketch-a-new-kind-of-sketchbook

Shawn Smith of Shawnimals has started a project to make sketch pads out of recycled paper. He just added a new limited level that will have a laser engraved cover by a choice of several artists. One is Chris Ryniak and another is Andrew Bell.

I'm still hoping to see this one make it!

MANOS - The Hands of Felt DVD

The worst movie of all time brought to terrifying puppet life!

"MANOS - The Hands of Felt is a giddy puppet musical re-imagining of the cult classic MANOS: The Hands of Fate. The film's story of a family vacation gone horribly wrong combines with the backstage drama of a movie shoot gone horribly wrong to tell the bizarre tale of fertilizer salesman-turned-film director Harold P. Warren. With song and dance numbers. And puppets.

Since its 2011 debut, many people on the internet have said they are interested in witnessing MANOS - The Hands of Felt for themselves. So we're remounting the show for four Seattle performances in August 2013. To help it get to a wider audience, we'd also like to film it. This is where you come in."
