I'm sorry to hear you missed out. I definitely feel very lucky to have been at the right place at the right time. When I first e-mailed the gallery with my interest in the set, they weren't making any pre-show sales or even keeping a list. Then a couple of days before the opening, I checked back just-in-case. Indeed, I found the gallery's pre-sale policy had changed unbeknownst to me, and someone was already in the process of buying just one of the two pieces. When the buyer couldn't come up with the payment, the gallery found my original e-mail confirming I was the first person to express interest, and they moved me to the top of the list.

I am glad the stately couple found a home, together, as they should always be. And I am honored to be the innkeeper.

wow- lucky you!!!!! same thing happened to me, I contacted them before the show and them seemed annoyed and told me I could try and purchase them if they didn't sell during the opening, like those weren't going to be the 1st ones sold- LOL

GREAT COLLECTION!

I already posted a few pics of my collection in the Show Off section, but I forgot this one....

Congrats, those 2 are lovely together!

I like Doks customs more than the production toys. I find the production pieces loose the magic found in his customs. One day I hope to own a custom.

I still need to find who owns the Dumb Luck and steal it...ugh I mean congratulate them on getting an amazing piece.

Doktor A Podlings

Better picture (though old picture) of Podlings. I no longer have the patchwork Podling.

Custom Worker Toyer figure and Hazmapo.

Some assorted Dok goodness in a overstuffed Detolf.

And I have some original work and prints that I desperately need to frame.

Laura,
I'm glad you reposted some of your Dok A stuff a little bit bigger. -thanks

Wow, I love the HazMaPo, the Toyer and the Bat. Hmm, from what you said in your post, it appears that you can sometimes be convinced to sell or trade.... I will not forget.

Tha bat was by Matt Eaton.

I think you may have read something the wrong way. Those pieces will be going with me to the grave. Maybe I can have someone send you my plot number and you can do a bit of digging.

So you are the one with this Podling! If you should ever decide to part with it, please keep me in mind.

Oops  I wasn't sure about the bat....metal, rivets, etc... sometimes early works, or an artist's "take" on another's platform can have a different look than the rest of their work. That's my lame excuse... thanks for the clarification.

What I was referring in my last post was your comment that one of the pieces in one of your photos is... no longer in your collection... From that, the thought crept into my mind, my vacuous mind. I kinda figgered you would respond like you did.

Last but not least, even if I'm still around when you go, I'll be w-a-a-a-y too old to dig anything up. I'm already most of a century old and sometimes have trouble digging to the bottom of a bowl of cereal.
